Abundant Wonder Playcare is a respect-based home child care program that focuses on empowering children through play. Our name is reflective of children’s innate passion for exploring the world around them. It is our pleasure to provide an inclusive and anti-biased environment in which your child is respected and honored for who they are as an individual and as a part of the local and global community. We strive to combine aspects of all of the natural, respect-based child guidance methods with high quality supplies and nourishment.
COVID NOTE: ALL eligible AW adults, parents and children are REQUIRED to be up to date on Covid vaccinations. We have taken the Covid virus very seriously since the beginning and intend to continue to do everything we can to keep our little ones and family as well as possible. All of our current precautions are based on AW community comfort levels, which we reassess as often as necessary.

We trust that children are intelligent, whole people that are capable of accomplishing anything they set their minds to when given the opportunity to explore, learn, and succeed with respectful, consistent, loving support. By maintaining a teacher/child ratio of ~1:5, we can more individually foster wonder in each child in our care. We take time to discover and provide stimulus for each child’s interests and skill levels as they prepare themselves for their school-aged years and beyond. We look forward to meeting your family and working as a team to support your children’s growth in all areas of life.

We are committed to providing children at Abundant Wonder Playcare the best possible meals in an effort to encourage better health, expanded palates, and a respectful relationship with food as a foundation for accomplishing everything they hope and dream. We participate in the Federal Food Program which means we offer required meal components and get reimbursed for a (small) portion of the cost; this allows us to provide high quality meals while keeping tuition more affordable. We feel it is important to use as many plant-based, seasonal, organic, local and whole food ingredients as possible so most of our food is homemade. Along the same lines, we grow some of our own produce, and we compost and recycle what we can.

“Our vision is a world in which all children are treated
with dignity, respect, understanding, and compassion.
In such a world, every child can grow into adulthood
with a generous capacity for love and trust.
Our society has no more urgent task.”
